Important sentiments, beautifully illustrated with images of our ever-changing Earth -- another world at risk in these upcoming elections. As the 5th draws near, the choice between progress and regression, hope and fear, fellowship and enmity, becomes ever more clear. Thank you for this meditation, Tanya, as always you express yourself beautifully.

Thank you, dear Jeff. I thought a lot about the earth as I was writing this piece. Even took out some additional sections that dealt specifically with our non-human citizens in order to keep things more tightly focused. Sending love during this challenging time. ❤️

Beautiful, needful sentiments, Tanya. I felt my energy shift into acceptance a few days ago and I’m less anxious. Of course being around a 2 1/2 year old 24/7 for a week will keep you very present. Glad to be sharing the ride with you.

Lovely, Tanya! Thank you for sharing. Seconding your words, bodhisattvas are by definition activist, karma is shared, and wisdom is the flip side of compassion. May your message dispel illusion and bring comfort to many. Love and best wishes, Daniel

Thanks for this timely reminder, Tanya. Being with loved ones is a great way to face the day and whatever comes and to help one another avoid / minimize / witness (?!) those puncture wounds from the second arrow of our delusive thoughts. I sat with a worldwide online sangha this morning of over 40 people, all grateful for this chance to be together and support one another in our not knowing and our shared presence. A teacher from Denmark gave a beautiful talk about a Great Blue Heron that she saw on her morning walk, sitting still, then flying in a great circle, then returning by the end of her walk to the same bridge where she initially saw it, sitting still once again. Sometimes our great circles are full of squawking and frenetic activity that we deem skillful and right in the moment, and then we just return once again to stillness. Fly, squawk, sit, repeat;) /\

Thank you, Jamie. What a beautiful reflection. “Fly, squawk, sit, repeat.” Pretty much sums it up! :-)

Beautifully written, Tanya. It weaves in pretty seamlessly with The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer, which I am currently listening to.

Unattachment is the predominant theme of the book. Easier said than done, but a worthwhile pursuit, for sure.

Well said, Tanya - and thank you for sharing your personal perspective, not a political one. Makes me breathe a little easier. We are all afraid. We are all human.

I needed this. I too am afraid. Grateful for your wisdom shared in this. May we all move through this with some modicum of ease and be kind to each other in the aftermath, whatever that holds.

Yes, dear Ellen. Thank you. May we all keep our balance on this unstable ground. ❤️

Thank you, Tanya. Just what I needed to read today. I am having to move out of my low income senior home next week for two weeks due to asbestos found and it's removal and other remediation. I am suffering from stress over this and the election and in both instances I recognize I must let go of attachment to the outcome and stay present even though experiencing uncertainty.
